Trusty traveled along with us on our great American Roadtrip
this summer. We spent five weeks doing a tour that covered
North Dakota. South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska,
Kansas, Texas (Fort Davis for a family wedding), New Mexico
(Carlsbad Caverns and Roswell), Arizona (Grand Canyon),
Nevada, Idaho (relatives there), Wyoming (Yellowstone),
Montana (Glacier National Park). We camped mostly, stayed
with relatives a few nights and generally had a good time.
We stopped in dog friendly motels and we had no trouble with
them along. The only real problem was Trusty hates being
tied up as we leave her off leash most of the time. One neat
thing is in the heat of the south Trusty decided swimming
was all right after all. She became quite the waterdog. The
only trouble she had was mosquitoes and sand flies made her
crazy with her short fur and exposed belly and I took to
using Off Skin so Soft on her belly whenever I put it on
myself which worked very well keeping biting flies and
mosquitoes off her and didn't seem to bother her skin at
all. |
